Our History-Our Heritage-Our Culture Vol. 1

by Remember Why You Started Records

about

If you watch The Bassment-Detroit on Sunday from 7p to 9p, then you have undoubtedly heard….This is our history. This is our heritage. This is our culture. The words spoken belong to Sean Tate. It is the “battle cry” to remind people of who, how and where the roots of Detroit Techno first began.

RWYS 002 has the beautiful composition of “ASYNC2” from the talented group Strand (Frictional/Harbonder). The group is composed of Kech Harrington, Brian Bonds and Brian Boyer. The deep, sonic layers from beginning to end are amazing, new and fresh. Strand gives its loyal supporters something “magical” once again.

The EP jumps to the next level with “Condition Critical”. Blaktony (Direct Beat/Puzzlebox), the veteran Aux 88 band member, always has several active music projects in Detroit and overseas.

“Roundtables” is just pure Detroit Techno Soul from the duo of Folson and Tate. The digital release can be found on Detroit Techno Records.

“A Matter of Destruction” is an eerie, dark bass-pounding, minimal mind trip. It is another chapter in his musical series.

The Reel by Real remix of “A Matter of Destruction” is simply spectacular. Martin Bonds, Brian Bonds and Kech Harrington redesigned the track into a different direction with a strong bassline and deep groove.
